Posted on Apr 7 2020 - 9:43am

We will hold our first online troop meeting for all Scouts this evening.  Mr. Folkestaad will be covering the final requirements of the Cooking merit badge.  Please see choosemyplate.gov for a preview.   We realize that sheltering in place has many drawbacks but one opportunity is being able to plan and cook several meals to finish up this Eagle required merit badge! https://zoom.us/j/622608386. Meeting ID: 622 608 386. You should be able to view and talk on Zoom via a tablet or any computer with a camera and microphone.  If you need to talk via a separate phone line, please call +1 669 900 9128.  Also, if any Scout needs a board of review or would like to complete any rank advancement items, please let Mr. Muraki know.  We can arrange this with the Troop Committee or a senior Scout respectively.

Scout Contact Info/Summer Camp Updates

Posted on Apr 1 2020 - 9:59am

Good job to all Scouts for moving forward on merit badge classes and participating in the online meetings!  Parents, we realize there is a range of access to mobile devices, tablets and computers in your homes. If your Scout is not personally receiving the Troop eblasts, please have them update their contact information on the Troop Website including their cell number and their email address as applicable. (If a parent wishes to remain the point of contact for information for your Scout, then no changes need to be made.)   We will be posting and sending out Zoom meeting information and links to the website on a regular basis for the foreseeable. Accordingly, your Scout will also need to ensure his password is up to date on the website.  Finally, the Cascade Pacific Council has pushed back the final payment dates for summer camps. We are attending Camp Pioneer from July 12-July 18. We have enough spots for all current troop members and a number of additional spots for incoming Webelo 2's.  Current Troop 100 Scouts have priority sign up until May 8th.  Incoming Webelo 2's will have until May 12th for their signups on a first come, first served basis.  Please click on the "Online Payments" link on the left Menu bar for details.

Online PLC Meeting - 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 31st

Posted on Mar 29 2020 - 8:41am

PLC Meeting this week will be an online Zoom meeting. See details on the calendar link:  https://cpctroop100.mytroop.us/node/6331.  Our goal for the foreseeable future is to manage the troop meetings, advancment and coordination online.  If any Scout or Adult needs to have their website password reset, please let me know. I know that it has been a while since many of you have logged onto the website.  The generic password that was used to set up your initial accouts was your name (e.g. "Charlie Muraki") and a standard password, "B1scout."  This can be changed once you complete your initial log in.  We have posted all of the upcoming CPC Advancement Academy classes on the calendar.

More Merit Badge Classes from the Advancement Academy

Posted on Mar 26 2020 - 8:58pm

The CPC Advancement Academy has posted some additional merit badge classes. https://www.cpcbsa.org/advancement-academy,  1) Email or text Mr Muraki if you are interested. 2) Pre-register for classes in which you are interested. Some classes (notably Eagle required ones)  fill up quickly.  Some notes:  the scouting.org website has merit badge worksheets to follow along.  Please do not feel as if you need to register for every MB class or you are missing out.  Life is a marathon...not a sprint. Focus on making steady progress on your advancement goals!
