About Us

Fremont United Methodist Church charters and sponsors Troop 100 & Pack 100. Membership is open to all.

Troop 100 is for children ages 11 to 18. Scouts BSA focuses on leadership and character development with an emphasis on community service and outdoor activities to teach out Scouts.  Troop 100 has an outing or event each month, service projects throughout the year, and develop and train many Eagle Scouts! The troop has operated continuously in Northeast Portland since 1921, making it one of the oldest troops in the United States (99 years and counting!).

Pack 100 is for children from 1st through 5th grades. The Pack meets monthly at the Alameda Elementary School – most dens meet weekly. Highlights include games, skits, songs, family camping & Pinewood Derby model car racing.

As Baden-Powell intended, Scouting with Troop 100 is “a fun game, but with a purpose.” The program is planned by the Scouts for the Scouts (with adult assistance and support, of course).
